This is an experiment in just intoned modulation, based on the theories of Zheanna Erose. The first portion of the song has harmonies based on septimal scales having intervals of the form n/7, with rhythms based on groupings of five notes. This portion of the song is inspired by Indonesian percussion music. The middle portion of the song shifts to harmonies based on polyprimal scales having intervals of the form n/35, with polyrhythms based on groupings of five or seven notes. This portion of the song is inspired by death wails and requiems in traditional mourning. The third portion of the song shifts to harmonies based on pental scales having intervals of the form n/5, with rhythms based on groupings of seven notes. This portion of the song is inspired by Eastern European folk dance.
